New Bondway: full steam ahead!

new_bondway_renderingsYour mid afternoon stroll down the Chelsea embankment, perhaps your bike ride along Millbank or even your lunchtime run that takes you over the Lambeth Bridge – whatever it is you do that offers you those familiar views of London, expect there to to be a new addition. There’s a new development coming to London’s skyline, and quite frankly, we’re pretty excited about it.

The Grain team had some great news in the studio this month! We’re pleased to hear and proud to announce that planning permission has been granted for the construction of one of the latest additions to London’s skyline, New Bondway.

Towards the end of 2013 we created the name, identity and website for the proposed 170m (or 169.75m to be exact!) multi-purpose structure and local authorities have now confirmed the go-ahead for construction of the tower. The towers are one of the principal projects in the Nine Elms regeneration, deemed to be the last piece of the central London jigsaw. The development can boast 450 new homes, over 800sqm of retail space, roof gardens for the residents and almost 1000sqm of communal outdoor space.

We hope that you are all as excited as we are to see this positive addition to the neighbourhood. It’s not only the physical presence of the stunning new towers that will impact the area, but there is expected to be the creation of over 400 jobs to go along with the development. The construction will begin in 2015 and is to be completed by 2018.
