Livingstone School – a new free school for the digital age

Have you ever heard of the Games Workshop? How about Dungeons & Dragons? At Grain we are thrilled to be able to work with the co-founder of these iconic titles. A true pioneer of the UK games industry – Ian Livingstone CBE, one of the founding fathers of the UK games industry.

Stereotypically the world of gaming and entertainment doesn’t often neighbour that of education. However when the 16^th most influential person of the UK’s digital economy (as per Wired 100 list 2012) and one of the makers of the Lara Croft – Tomb Raider franchise is behind the project, then let those worlds collide and bring Ian’s vision of innovation, creativity and enterprise to the forefront of secondary education.

Grain had been appointed to name, and develop the branding for the Livingstone School. A Free School dedicated to preparing young people to be a real force of influence within society. The secondary school takes a fresh look on the school curriculum, holding a strong focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM).

The exciting way the Livingstone School approaches education is refreshing and will certainly produce a generation of ground breaking students.
