International Community School (ICS) is one of only a handful of UK schools teaching an International Baccalaureate programme. Part of the SKOLA Group of Schools, ICS occupies several sites in Marylebone, central London, including York Terrace East near Regents Park, Star Street near Paddington Station, and a new site in Wyndham Place. A further site in a converted Suffolk manor house is scheduled to open soon.
We have worked on several projects for SKOLA, including an interactive storybook for ICS and a name, identity, website, apparel and environments for Newland College. Delighted with the results, SKOLA asked Grain to devise a strategy for ICS, providing it with a competitive edge by emphasising its status as one of the UK’s leading international schools.
With its colourful geometric symbol and a thoroughly modern typeface, the new identity reflects the spirit of the school and its values, which we identified as understanding, inclusion, international and curious. Warm, vibrant and professional, the identity is rolling out across everything from stationery and marketing collateral to apparel, signage, and a new website.
