Peter Jones Enterprise Academy
Creating a brand to inspire young, enterprising people
In 2005, entrepreneur and Dragons Den star Peter Jones set up a foundation to help guarantee a brighter future for the UK’s forgotten children. From the Foundation grew the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, an accredited initiative that helps young people aged 16+ to acquire the skills and mindset they need to set up their own businesses or shine in established companies.
In 2012 PJEA launched two unique apprenticeships, Level 3 in Enterprise and Level 5 in Innovation and Growth. The name we created for the apprenticeships, Ignite, suggests a spark of inspiration and sets an exciting tone for aspiring apprentices and employers alike. We created the positioning and messaging for three key audiences: students, prospective employers and providers, such as colleges and training centres.
We then designed the visual identity – with its distinctive, ‘diamond ring’ eclipse logo – and a series of flyers promoting the programme’s launch to students and employers. With its focus on youth development, enterprise and entrepreneurship, Ignite’s goals are closely aligned with Grain’s and the project proved rewarding for all concerned.
